OUR GOAL
To empower girls living in under-resourced communities to realize their potential and become confident, educated, self-sufficient, community-minded, and otherwise well-rounded leaders through the mentorship of women. We advance the United Nations Sustainability Goal #5: “The achievement of gender equality and empowerment of all women and girls.”
THE CHALLENGE
Poor education, threats of violence, and discrimination in the labor market lead to lower societal value, less protection, poor health, lower-skilled jobs, unpaid work, and diminished opportunities and choices for girls.
OUR STRATEGY
Investing in girls is one of the most profitable investments any community and nation can make.
Educated, healthy, and equipped girls hold the key to solving many of the world’s most urgent challenges, including poverty reduction, gender inequality, lack of healthcare and economic opportunities, maternal and infant mortality, and many others.
The Trimm Foundation works within communities to dismantle barriers to education, social and economic advancement, and a life of health and independence. We offer a research-based program focused on cultivating, supporting, and mentoring girls in a way that helps them navigate challenges and become leaders of change in their spheres of influence.
